A Quiet Place by Seicho Matsumoto (Paperback)

A Quiet Place is a twisty psychological mystery by Seicho Matsumoto, often called Japan's Agatha Christie. While away on business, government official Tsuneo Asai learns that his wife Eiko has died of a heart attack. Her illness made the news not entirely unexpected, and Asai buries his grief in work. Yet the place where she collapsed, a quiet Tokyo street, begins to trouble him, and doubt and jealousy take hold.
