The 88-book Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo canon in English, in an illustrated hardcover edition — 550 pages, with a glossary of terms.
The Tewahedo tradition preserved the widest biblical canon in Christianity. Alongside the books familiar from Western Bibles, it kept works that circulated in the early church and were later set aside: the Book of Enoch, Jubilees, the Meqabyan (the Ethiopian books of the Maccabees, distinct from the ones in Catholic Bibles), and a wider body of Old and New Testament apocrypha. Enoch is the best known — quoted directly in the Epistle of Jude, yet printed in no standard Protestant or Catholic edition.
Why the hardcover edition
At 550 pages and 11 inches tall, this is a shelf-and-desk volume rather than a carry Bible. The illustrated hardcover binding is built for a book that gets opened repeatedly for reference, and the included glossary explains the Ge'ez and Ethiopian liturgical terms that a Western reader will not recognise from context.
