In a Dark House by Deborah Crombie (Mass Market Paperback)

In a Dark House is a Duncan Kincaid and Gemma James novel from Deborah Crombie, the New York Times bestselling author of richly atmospheric British police procedurals.

A fire in an abandoned London warehouse reveals the body of an unidentified woman, and Superintendent Kincaid is called in to investigate. At the same time, Gemma becomes involved in the case of a missing woman, and the two threads begin to point toward a disturbing connection.

Layered, character-rich and skillfully plotted, it is a superb pick for fans of Elizabeth George and Louise Penny.
