Kindling by Traci Chee (Paperback)

Kindling is a stand-alone fantasy by bestselling author Traci Chee, a Los Angeles Times Book Prize finalist. The war was once fought by kindlings, elite teenage soldiers who wield devastating magic, but kindling warfare has since been outlawed. Seven of these former warriors search for purpose and identity in a war-ravaged world as they prepare for one final battle, in a story inspired by Seven Samurai and The Magnificent Seven.
