Othello by William Shakespeare (Mass Market Paperback)

Othello is one of William Shakespeare's greatest tragedies, presented here in the student-friendly Folger Shakespeare Library edition.

Othello, a celebrated general in the service of Venice, has just married Desdemona when his resentful ensign Iago begins a quiet campaign of lies to convince him she has been unfaithful. Jealousy, manipulation and misplaced trust drive the story toward its devastating end.

The Folger edition places the text alongside explanatory notes and definitions on facing pages, with background on Shakespeare and his theater, making it ideal for classroom study and first-time readers.
