The Animal Room by Lauren Acampora (Hardcover)

The Animal Room is a collection of linked stories by Lauren Acampora, award-winning author of The Wonder Garden. Set in a small Connecticut town, the stories explore how people relate to animals and to one another: a newcomer unsettled by a deer carcass in a neighbor's garage, a patient convinced she is turning into a bird, and a retired executive with a private menagerie. Tension builds as rumors spread through the suburb.
