The Deep Sky by Yume Kitasei (Paperback)

The Deep Sky is Yume Kitasei's science fiction thriller debut. As Earth faces environmental collapse, a single ship carries eighty elite graduates chosen to start a new generation in deep space. Halfway to a distant planet, a bomb kills three crew members and knocks the Phoenix off course. Asuka, the only surviving witness, becomes the prime suspect, and flashbacks reveal how she came to be chosen for the mission.
