Why colouring works
Filling in a structure forces you to trace its boundaries, and tracing a boundary is how you learn where one thing ends and another begins. Passive reading does not do that. This is why colouring books remain standard issue in anatomy courses rather than a novelty.
Used by medical and nursing students, physiotherapy and massage training, and anyone who has to learn anatomy properly rather than recognise it vaguely.
