The Paris Architect by Charles Belfoure (Paperback)

The Paris Architect is a bestselling debut novel by Charles Belfoure, himself an architect. In Nazi-occupied Paris in 1942, architect Lucien Bernard accepts a well-paid commission to design hidden spaces where Jewish people can escape the Gestapo, a choice that puts his own life at risk. Suspenseful and moving, this Sourcebooks Landmark paperback is a great pick for readers of World War II fiction and stories of unexpected courage.
